    ‘Also’, ‘too’ and ‘as well’ are adverbs that mean 'in addition'.
    They are almost synonymous but are not always interchangeable.
    There are a few differences and they are not placed in the same position in a clause or sentence.


    • ALSO :

      ALSO goes immediately before the action verb, between the auxiliary and the verb, or after the verb ‘be’.
      • She not only sings but she also plays the piano.

      • The visitors were mostly locals but there were also some tourists.
      • I have made some soup and I have also left ham in the refrigerator.

      ALSO is sometimes put at the beginning of a clause to add information (like 'moreover').
